Scott Doran

Scott has more than 25 years of experience assisting individuals, small business and industry clients in managing federal, state and local environmental, facility siting and natural resource utilization issues. His work regularly includes the resolution of federal, state and environmental enforcement actions, governmental and private party cost recovery actions, and citizen suits. He assists clients with state and federal permitting associated with industrial, commercial and residential site development, oil and gas production and transmission, and natural resource use and mitigation of associated environmental impacts. Scott has been recognized as an accomplished environmental attorney by Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America and received an “AV” rating by his peers in Martindale Hubbell.

Christopher J. Allwein

Chris has experience advising various clients, including clean energy businesses, energy service providers, and environmental groups focused on advanced energy and energy efficiency. He also is experienced in counseling businesses in numerous industries, including but not limited to trade associations, and industrial and commercial customers in the public utilities sector. Through his participation and established relationships at the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO), Chris works closely with clients to advance their interests in PUCO cases and rule reviews. His knowledge of statutes, regulations and policies governing regulated electric and gas utilities allows him to understand and address client issues in a timely manner.

William J. Levendusky

Bill provides guidance to a variety of oil and gas producers and developers. He has spent the last few years travelling the state performing tasks ranging from lease verification to drill site abstracting, and recommending curative measures at each step of the process. His experience as a Petroleum Landman gives him particular insight into mineral rights and oil and gas issues. He also works with the firm’s environmental practice. A member of both the Ohio Oil and Gas Association and the Energy and Mineral Law Foundation, Bill also helped found American Energy Heroes, which assists individuals and families affected by accidents that occur during energy exploration and production.

John Brody

John has handled complex oil and gas cases for 30 years. He has litigated and resolved disputes surrounding contracts for purchase of oil and gas properties, landowner challenges to leases, pipeline construction, gas purchase contracts, well and reserve valuations and more. John has been recognized as an Ohio Super Lawyer by Law & Politics magazine in the energy and natural resources area as well as recognized in Best Lawyers in America.

Kevin Sykes

Kevin has extensive experience with legal issues relating to the oil and gas industry, having focused his practice on such matters for more than three decades. A former trustee of the Energy and Mineral Law Foundation, he has been a contributing member to the organization since its creation, having given numerous presentations and authored several scholarly articles under its auspices. Kevin is also a member of the Ohio Oil and Gas Association.
